How the builder works
Every document starts in the same drag-and-drop builder. Pick a field from the palette, drop it into the form, and edit its label, placeholder, and help text inline — there's no separate settings screen to dig through. Reordering is a drag, deleting is a click, and most people have a working form in a few minutes.
The palette covers more than 19 field types. The basics are all there — short and long text, email, phone, number, date and time, dropdown, checkboxes, multiple choice. Past those you get composite fields like full name and address that collect structured parts in a single block, image choice for picking an option by picture, ranking for ordering options by preference, a matrix grid, star ratings and opinion scales, and quiz mode, which scores single-answer questions against the correct answers and point values you define.
Structure scales with the form. Conditional logic shows or hides any field based on an earlier answer, so respondents only ever see the questions that apply to them. Page breaks split a long form into steps with a step-by-step view, and per-form settings let you tune how each form behaves — a two-question RSVP and a forty-field intake can live side by side in the same account.
Publishing is one click: every form gets its own share link that anyone can open — no account, nothing to install. Responses land in your dashboard as they arrive, each form gets its own analytics with a per-question breakdown and CSV export, and outbound webhooks can push every new submission straight to your own systems.
Forms and signatures in one flow
Most form builders stop at collecting answers. tuyaform is built so the same tool also collects legally binding electronic signatures — that's the part of the product everything else is arranged around. A form can carry a signature field, so a submission comes back signed; or you can build a signing document with signature, initials, date-signed, and full-name fields, add your recipients, and send it for signature by email. Each signer gets their own unique link and signs from whatever device they happen to be on.
When signing completes, tuyaform seals the final PDF with a SHA-256 integrity hash — change a single byte later and the mismatch is detectable — and generates a Certificate of Completion recording who signed, when, and from where, backed by the document's full audit trail. The result is a record you can stand behind, not just a picture of a signature on a page.
Already have the paperwork as a PDF? Upload it and place signing fields visually: drag signature, initials, and date boxes exactly where they belong on the page, assign each one to a signer, and send. There's no rebuilding an existing contract inside a form editor — one account, one builder, both jobs done.
What's free and what's paid
The free plan is free forever, not a trial: unlimited forms, unlimited responses, and unlimited sharing by link — including signing links, so self-serve signing costs nothing. The one thing we meter is emailed signature invitations, because every email costs us real delivery fees; the free plan includes 30 per month. Ads on our marketing pages fund all of it — they never appear on your forms or signing pages, and there's no watermark on the signed PDF.
If you send more by email, paid plans raise the allowance: Starter is $8/month for 3,000 emailed sends and Growth is $19/month for 10,000, and both remove the tuyaform credit (“Secured by tuyaform” on signing pages, “Made with tuyaform” on forms). Subscribers can also top up with non-expiring credit packs — $5 for 1,000 sends, $15 for 5,000. Paid plans don't remove the ads on marketing pages; those are what keep the free tier free.
